User Types:
Novice User
I love taking pictures that I can e-mail to my friends and family, post on my blog and Facebook, or even print them out to share. I'd like a digital camera that is very simple to use so that the whole family can use it without difficulty. I would also like the camera to be small enough to slip into a jacket or purse without it being too bulky.

Trendsetter
I like showing off the newest, coolest gadgets before anyone else has them. I enjoy impressing friends, family and business associates with the latest technologies and neat features as long as they are not too difficult to use. Price is not one of my main concerns because I do expect a quality product for purchasing one from the high end of the price range.

Business User
I need a camera that can be used at the office or on the go for pictures taken on location. The image quality must be sharp and clear because these photographs will be used for ads and publicity in print and on the Web. I want to get professional-looking results and may need to get prints in a variety of ways, including from a color laser printer or quick-print shop. The camera must be simple to use so that the employees will be able to use it.

I want to take still pictures and video clips for the Web, and the events I get paid to shoot in my spare time. I use creative effects when photographing to manipulate images. I also use accessories and different lenses and I want professional-level control.

Budget Buyer
I want to find a basic digital camera with a fairly low price. I want to take pictures to send to friends and family or print them in small sizes (4x6 or smaller) on my inexpensive, multipurpose inkjet printer. I want to be able to use the camera without having to learn complex controls. The camera should last at least a few years.

Unsure User
I am not sure of all the different uses I will have for my camera that is why I want more than just a regular basic camera. I am looking for a camera that's easy to use but one that I can grow into if I decide to be a more serious photographer. I want to be able to print good-looking photos at sizes smaller than 8x10 inches but I'd like prints that will still look OK if I decide to print larger.
